We are a happy family of 6. Joshua & I have 3 boys and 1 girl. On November, 7th our youngest Steven who is 2 ½ was diagnosed with stage 4 Medulloblastoma of the brain and spine. Our neuro surgeon prepared us for the worst. And seeing his cancer everywhere in his brain and spine was unimaginable. For weeks it felt unreal. Especially when Steven came back from brain surgery with Posterion Fossa Syndrome. It’s a syndrome caused from removal of a cerebellum tumor. He became like a newborn. He couldn’t talk, eat, cry, laugh, walk, or even hold his toys. We have only gotten 5 days since the day he was admitted with him out of the hospital. He has been very sick. We are working on getting him to eat, play, and talk again. It is a full time job for us both. I lost my job and insurance when all this happened. I was a mortgage broker. Now we live at the Ronald McDonald house and I home school the other 3 children. We cherish everyday we have with Steven; every day we have as a family. I by chance just came across your website and am so thankful I did. We really need financial help. We never know if it’s going to be a good day or hard day for Steven. It seems almost impossible to fathom working right now. We are both exhausted already. I thank God for your organization and pray God blesses you all abundantly. I don’t have any pics of our family printed, but I do on his caringbridge.org/stevenacree website. These pics are from Christmas. He was so happy to be here at RMH and out of the hospital. I hope you enjoy and we will keep you posted on his progress. Looks like another 4 to 5 months before we are done and can get back to normal. Thank you again.
Sincerely,
Lisa and family
